The Pitcairn Environment Group

We are an informal coalition of organisations and individuals who are interested in, or actively undertaking, conservation work in the Pitcairn Islands.

About Pitcairn

One of the world’s most remote places.

The Pitcairn Islands are an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom, found in the central South Pacific.

Pitcairn has jurisdiction over one of the largest areas of ocean in the world. Within these waters lies one of the best-preserved marine ecosystems on Earth. The islands of the Pitcairn group are also home to globally significant populations of seabirds, and 19 endemic species of plants. For these reasons, and many others, the environment of the Pitcairn Islands is worthy of study and protection.
